Raw Delivery & Recent Raw Meals

My most recent delivery from Simply Rawesome arrived on Tuesday. This time I received 40lbs of beef chunks, 20lbs of Eureka rough blend and 40lbs of organic chicken thigh meat. With shipping, everything was $169. I love the quality of the products I receive. I do know that the beef chunks are from Big Dan's, but it doesn't make a difference as I have never had a problem with their products.
 Beef Chunks bagged up
Chicken, beef and Eureka in the chest freezer.

Rabbits & Newborn Buck Kids

I picked up some dog food today. I got 36lbs of rabbits and Todd showed me the newborn buck kids he gets from a friend.  I bought two of the kids to try out.  I'm very excited!

Feeding Three

Now that I am feeding three dogs, the two older dogs weigh 63lbs (Gwen) and 75-80lbs (Indie), I am going through so much more food.  It is amazing how much meat I go through.  Indie eats around 1.5-2lbs a day, Gwen eats around 1.2-1.5lbs a day and Mac eats 14oz usually.  That is definitely more than I used to go through.  I had to grind up quite a bit of food for Gwen because she won't touch bones.

Here is Gwen waiting for her dinner.

 Meal examples:
Homemade ground for Gwen
Organ and bone meals for the boys and a lamb heart and homemade ground for Gwen
Homemade ground for Gwen, organ and bone meal for Indie, turkey hearts and Spanish sardines for Mac
Todays new homemade ground.  I made it much chunkier than usual.
Gwen & Indie enjoying their beef heart dinner.
Old ground sirloin my mom gave me for the dogs. Gwen & Mac enjoyed it very much.
 Beef heart dinners for everyone.
Ground sirloin and grass fed bison for Gwen, gizzards for Mac and a chicken quarter for Indie.
On the 25th of October, I will be picking up over 60lbs of Blue Ridge Beef ground mixes for the dogs, mainly Gwen.  Hopefully by creating this ground base, I won't have to buy so much ever again unless I move.  It should be interesting.

More Sock Knitting

I am mainly a sock knitter.  I finished this pair of socks for my etsy shop.  I am trying to raise money for my next service dog through QCCAN.  They are knit in a wool, bamboo and nylon blend.  They are a womens US 5-6.5.

This past week I went to my local processing plant Eickmans and bought 8 beef hearts, 2 beef kidneys, 2 beef liver sections and a beef thymus, all for $14.57. Love the price. =D

Petflow box & Rawpaws.org order

This Months Petflow box arrived!

The treats have been a hit and Mac thoroughly enjoyed the beef eat chew. The wipes will also come in handy!

This week I went to my local processing plant and picked up 5 beef hearts, 2 beef testicles and 5 packages of beef thymus. The beef hearts, except 1, became dehydrated treats.
Here is my 2lb bag of lamb kidney organs, which are currently thawing with the rabbit organs
Here are my 6lbs of rabbit organs! Yay!
I also received my 2 massive packages of beef lung. This was a lot of lung!

Over ordering eep!

I over ordered from rawpaws this month.  Most of the order fit into the dog freezer, but some trickled over into the human upright freezer.  Looks like I'll have to use that stuff first and am not going to be ordering food for a while. Yep, it is full!

Here is what is in the human freezer.

Yesterday, Macs new salmon oil came. This time around I am trying Grizzly Salmon oil. I have been told that it is really good and it doesn't have any additives, which is a huge plus.
I also ordered 2 packs of bully sticks from Hare-Today. They also arrived yesterday. They are thinner than the ones you buy in pet stores, but I believe she makes them herself or they are locally made near her. The dogs enjoyed them either way.
